The Brain & Cognition Clinic (BCC) through its associated entity Perth Integrated Health (PIH) has been working hard behind the scenes with its community collaborative partner the Alzheimer’s Research Australia (ARA) over the past six months.
Through the executive collaboration between Prof Vicky Vass, Prof Ralph Martins and our Founder Ian Wee – we have created a synergistic platform which seems the micro team of Researchers at ARA working with the macro team of Clinicians at BCC / PIH.
This is a first world collaboration where we will be introducing to the nationwide community the direct link between Researchers and Clinicians as we tackle and work with the scourge of our society which is Alzheimer’s.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, affecting up to 70% of
all people with dementia.
In 2024, it is estimated that more than 421,000 Australians live with dementia.
Without a medical breakthrough, the number of people with dementia is expected to
increase to more than 812,500 by 2054.
Visit the team at the Brain and Cognition Clinic to review your cognitive concerns, followed by a series of cognitive tests to evaluate memory, attention, and other critical functions.
Utilising state-of-the-art equipment to gain detailed insights into your cognitive status, the team will measure your baseline and map improvements.
Cost: $100, with a $30 donation being made to Alzheimer's Research Australia
